We have established a new business partner this year. Schoolhouse Partners is a broker for home service providers. They screen the companies that work for them and then follow up to make sure the customer's expectations were met. They give 20% of all proceeds right back to Exley! I recently called them to come and give me a quote on foundation repairs for my house. They were very cordial and came out in a timely manner. I had already gotten a quote from both Atlas and Oshan, the two largest foundation repair providers in the Houston area. Both of these companies gave me a quote of just over $5000. Ouch!
When the representative from Schoolhouse Partners came out, I was hoping to get a quote that would save me some dollars. The technician brought in his leveler and took measurements throughout my house and also did a walkthrough on the outside.
I was very surprised when he told me that my foundation was in very good condition and I did not need any repairs. At first I thought he was crazy because there are serious cracks near the ceilings in my master bedroom and the doors are not aligned with the frames. He explained to me that the second story floor over the garage is starting to sag in the middle because there are no support beams for the frame in the middle and that what I really needed was the services of a framer to put in support beams and lift the floor back up. He could have taken my money, like the other two companies were ready to do, but he didn't. That's the kind of company I want to do business with.
